The Majic Songs

THE MAJIC SONGS

When I was lost and being held back. When I started to lose faith and fall away. These Majic Songs would come into my life. They would confirm what I was seeing or give me the push I needed. All coincidental one might say. There are no coincidences for me. Not anymore.

”The Master looked up from His thoughts and smiled at her.
“There are people out there, Maria, people who, when the circumstances are just right, seem to break through to the records. They are the talented, The Artists.”
The Master nodded his head. “It might be enough. It will have to be.”

“Where The Light can not penetrate the Darkness, Music will seep through. It will be The Artists that reach him.” The Master paused and looked and stared into Maria’s eyes. “In the end, it will be The Music that saves us all.”

I recommend listening to these Songs, read their lyrics before carrying on with each part of the tale. They might just help you understand this journey a little better.
So please support The Artists in what capacity you can afford.
Then maybe, just maybe they will come on board. Maybe they will help. And maybe they will answer The Call.

Magic Song #1
On The Turning Away – Pink Floyd

On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we won’t understand
“Don’t accept that what’s happening
Is just a case of others’ suffering
Or you’ll find that you’re joining in
The turning away”
It’s a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting it’s shroud
Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that we’re all alone
In the dream of the proud
On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite
In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night
No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
It’s not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there’ll be
No more turning away?

Majic Song #2
Wheat Kings – The Tragically Hip

Sundown in the Paris of the prairies
Wheat kings have all treasures buried
And all you hear are the rusty breezes
Pushing around the weathervane Jesus
His Zippo lighter he sees the killer’s face
Maybe it’s someone standing in a killer’s place
Twenty years for nothing, well, that’s nothing new
Besides, no one’s interested in something you didn’t do
Wheat kings and pretty things
Let’s just see what the morning brings
There’s a dream he dreams where the high school’s dead and stark
It’s a museum and we’re all locked up in it after dark
The walls are lined all yellow, grey and sinister
Hung with pictures of our parents’ prime ministers
Wheat kings and pretty things
Wait and see what tomorrow brings
Late breaking story on the CBC
A nation whispers, “we always knew that he’d go free”
They add, “you can’t be fond of living in the past
‘Cause if you are, then there’s no way that you’re going to last”
Wheat kings and pretty things
Let’s just see what tomorrow brings
Wheat kings and pretty things
Oh, that’s what tomorrow brings

Majic Song #3
The 4th Of July – Soundgarden

Shower in the dark day
Clean sparks diving down
Cool in the waterway
Where the baptized drown
Naked in the cold sun
Breathing life like fire
Thought I was the only one
But that was just a lie
‘Cause I heard it in the wind
And I saw it in the sky
And I thought it was the end
And I thought it was the fourth of July
Pale in the flare light
The scared light cracks and disappears
And leads the scorched ones here
And everywhere no one cares
The fire is spreading
And no one wants to speak about it
Down in the hole
Jesus tries to crack a smile
Beneath another shovel load
‘Cause I heard it in the wind
And I saw it in the sky
And I thought it was the end
And I thought it was the fourth of July
Heard it in the wind
And I saw it in the sky
And I thought it was the end
And I thought it was the fourth of July
Fourth of July, July
Now I’m in control
Now I’m in the fall out
Once asleep but now I stand
And I still remember your sweet everything
Light a roman candle
And hold it in your hand
Heard it in the wind
And I saw it in the sky
And I thought it was the end
And I thought it was the fourth of July
Heard it in the wind
And I saw it in the sky
And I thought it was the end
And I thought it was the fourth of July, yeah

Majic Song #4
Release – Pearl Jam

I see the world, feel the chill
Which way to go, windowsill
I see the words on a rocking horse of time
I see the birds in the rain…

Majic Song #5
The Vengeful One – Disturbed

He is observing the chaos, taking in the lack of raw humanity
It’s as if the entire world’s fallen in love with their insanity
Hear the innocent voices scream
As their tormentors laugh through all of it
No forgiveness from all I’ve seen
The degradation I cannot forget
So sleep soundly in your beds tonight
For judgement falls upon you at first light
I’m the hand of God
I’m the dark messiah
I’m the vengeful one
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
In the blackest moment of a dying world
What have you become
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
As the violence surges
And the teeming masses have been terrorized
The human predators all gone mad
Are reaping profits born from their demise
The rabid media plays their roles
Stoking the flames of war to no surprise
Only too eager to sell their souls
For the apocalypse must be televised
So sleep soundly in your beds tonight
For judgement falls upon you at first light
I’m the hand of God
I’m the dark messiah
I’m the vengeful one
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
In the blackest moment of a dying world
What have you become
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
When you die
You’ll know why
For you cannot be saved
With all the world enslaved
When you die
You’ll know why
You’ll die
You’ll know why
For you cannot be saved
This world is too depraved
When you die
You’ll know why
I’m the hand of God
I’m the dark messiah
I’m the vengeful one
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
In the blackest moment of a dying world
What have you become
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
I’m the hand of God
I’m the dark messiah
I’m the vengeful one
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
In the blackest moment of a dying world
What have you become
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)
(Look inside and see what you’re becoming)

Majic Song #6
Believe – Black Label Society

They say that you’ve come to end
The sadness and pain
A barer of light
To the darkness that reigns
Destroyer of fear and the
War of man
To live forever just take my hand
Take these eyes so I can see
Are you just a story in a book
For us to read?
I wanna believe
They say that you heal the sick
Breathe life to the dead
You’ve come to save us all
So they have said
Destroyer of fear and the war of man
To live forever, just take my hand
Take these eyes so I can see
Are you just a story in a book for us to read?
Are you God or just another man that bleeds?
Please tell me there’s a heaven that awaits
I wanna believe
I wanna believe
Take these eyes so I can see
Are you just a story in a book for us to read?
Are you God or just another man that bleeds?
Please tell me there’s a heaven that awaits
I wanna believe
I wanna believe
I wanna believe

Majic Song #7
Against The Wall – Seether

I was born to fly away
And run across the sun
It faded out
Like a candle in the breeze
Fadin’ out
Like I’m supposed to
So everyday I’m against the wall
With nowhere to turn to
And if I dare to believe at all
It leaves me deflated
My mind begins to strain
And my thoughts begin to run
I’ve played it out
I can’t seem to find the peace
I’ve heard about
Am I not supposed to?
So every day I could lose it all
Don’t let this concern you
So will you catch me if I fall
And keep me elated
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
It’s not complicated
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
And if I knew I could change it all
I’d hope that you waited
(Can’t be broken down)
If I knew I could change it all
I’d hope that you waited
(Can’t be broken down)
Can’t be broken down
Can’t be broken down
Can’t be broken down
Can’t be broken down

Magic Song #8
Faceless Man – Creed

I spent a day by the river
It was quiet and the wind stood still
I spent some time with nature
To remind me of all that’s real
It’s funny how silence speaks sometimes when you’re alone
And remember that you feel
I said it’s funny how silence speaks sometimes when you’re alone
And remember that you feel
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Now I saw a face on the water
It looked humble but willing to fight
I saw the will of a warrior
His yoke is easy and his burden is light
He looked me right in the eyes
Direct and concise to remind me
To always do what’s right
He looked me right in the eyes
Direct and concise to remind me
To always do what’s right
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Again I stand, lord, god I stand
Against the faceless man
‘Cause if the face inside can’t see the light
I know I’ll have to walk alone
And if I walk alone to the other side
I know I might not make it home
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Next time I see this face
I’ll say I choose to live for always
So won’t you come inside and never go away
Next time I see this face
I’ll say I choose to live for always
So won’t you come inside and never go away
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man
Again I stand, lord I stand
Against the faceless man

Magic Song #9
Hope And Ruin – The Trews

Hope and ruin*
Living the dream
What we’re doing
Is not what it seems
First to last
Best to worst
Ash to ash
Blessed to cursed
If you break down
I’ll pull you through
Hope and ruin
Gone too soon
Hope and ruin
Me and you
The sun came up
And the world turned ’round
But I saw right through it
It will go back down
If I break down
Will you pull me through?
Hope and ruin
Gone too soon
Hope and ruin
Me and you
And it’s heavy now
And it weighs me down
Hope and ruin
Gone too soon
Hope and ruin
You were the best
Now you’re through and
You’re on to the next
So you’re leaving now
Have you done enough
Will they hold you to it
Will you rise above
Ah we’ll get through
Hope and ruin
Gone too soon
Hope and ruin
Me and you
Hope and ruin
Gone too soon
Hope and ruin
Me and you
Hope and ruin
Gone too soon
Hope and ruin
Me and you

Majic Song #10
The Sinner Is You - Volbeat

What’s life without a little pain
The good thing is on a little break
You’ll be fine and up again, yeah
The goal is to bring the human back to the world
‘Cause nothing will last
But bring it home as a friend, yeah yeah
Oh the sinner is you
The sinner is you
I’m the collector of the good spirits of mother earth
Hell is life drying up, yeah
I see and hear more than I wish
The seal has broken up again
One life on earth fades away again
The sinner is you, the sinner is you
There’s been a kill in the spirit world
The ultimate sinner just don’t know
There’s been a kill in the spirit world
The ultimate sinner just don’t know
Is there forgiveness
Do we all deserve our blessing
Is there forgiveness
Do we all deserve our blessing
From the spirit world
Is this a sign for all of us
To take care of the life we have
Please wake up and feel the love, yeah
I see and hear more than I wish
The seal has broken up again
One life on earth fades away again
The sinner is you
The sinner is you

Majic Song #11
Who’ll Stop The Rain – Creedence Clearwater Revival

As long as I remember
The rain’s been comin’ down
Clouds of mystery pourin’
Confusion on the ground
Good men through the ages
Tryin’ to find the sun
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who’ll stop the rain
I went down Virginia
Seekin’ shelter from the storm
Caught up in the fable
I watched the tower grow
Five year plans and new deals
Wrapped in golden chains
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who’ll stop the rain?
Heard the singers playin’
How we cheered for more
The crowd then rushed together
Tryin’ to keep warm
Still the rain kept pourin’
Fallin’ on my ears
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who’ll stop the rain?

Magic Song #12
Strange Days – Mathew Good Band

Good morning
Don’t cop out
You crawled from the cancer to land on your feet
Are you crazy to want this
Even for a while?
We’re making this shit up
The reasons for being are easy to pay
You can’t remember the others
They just kind of went away
So you’re driving, it’s rush hour
The cars on the freeway are moving like slugs
When you drift off to wake up
Do you always hit the brakes?
We’re done lying for a living
The strange days have come and you’re
You’re gone, you’re gone
Either dead or dying
Dead or trying to go
It’s evening, you’re tired
You sleep walk a robot out to the street
Are you crazy to want this even for a while?
You’re driving, it’s rush hour
The cars on the freeway are moving backwards
Into a wall of fire
Backwards
Into a wall of fire
Backwards
Into a wall of fire
Backwards
Into a wall of fire
And we’re done lying for a living
The strange days have come and you’re
You’re gone, you’re gone
And we’re done lying for a living
The strange days have come and you’re
You’re gone, you’re gone
Either dead or dying
Either dead or trying to go
To go
Good morning
Don’t cop out
